The Speaker

John F. Wu

Assistant Astronomer and Associate Research Scientist

Dr. John F. Wu is a tenure-track Assistant Astronomer at Space Telescope Science Institute as well as an Associate Research Scientist at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. His research combines cutting-edge machine learning and all kinds of astronomical observations in order to study how galaxies grow and evolve. He also works on the Roman Space Telescope, NASA’s next flagship space telescope mission that is slated to launch in late 2026.
